Following the 10 a.m.service, Canterbury Hall Ted has already been hard at work in his role as our new Assistant Rector at St. Andrew's and Campus Chaplain at Penn State re-imagining and re-starting a campus ministry, but that doesn't mean it's too late to officially "welcome" him. St. Andrew's daytime women's group is gearing up for another year together, growing in faith and sharing our lives. We will be reading Edward R. Murrow’s This I Believe: Selections from the 1950s Radio Series. This is a collection of very short essays that we can read aloud together each meeting and then discuss. Room 338 In "Looking at Familiar Faith Stories in New Ways," Amy Pritchett will lead us in the meditative practice of listening to a Godly Play interpretation of a key story followed by discussion of our experience and response to the story and its intellectual underpinning. All ages are welcome.

Spring Creek Park, Pavilion 2 You are invited to to kick off the new year with a picnic at Spring Creek Park. We will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, condiments, paper products, and beverages. We ask that you bring either a side dish or dessert to share. Our pavilion includes picnic tables, but you may want to bring a folding chair. Friends, neighbors, and well-behaved, supervised pets are all welcome!

Although Patterson is best known for his fictional suspense novels, this is an extensively researched non-fiction account. Your pet (leashed or caged as appropriate) is welcome to join you inside the church at our 10 a.m. service of Holy Eucharist.
