Good Friday Film

The Last Temptation of Christ, Rated R, 2h 44m Friday Films will present The Last Temptation of Christ, immediately following the 7 p.m. Good Friday service, approximately 8 p.m., in Canterbury Hall. Snacks, including meatless options, wll be served. Directed by Martin Scorsese and based on a book by Nikos Kazantzakis, the film stars Willem Dafoe as Jesus. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Spring Clean Up Day

April 19 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join fellow parishioners on Saturday, April 19, from 8 a.m. to noon to tackle some outdoor spring-cleaning chores. Dress for the weather and bring gardening gloves and tools if you have them. St. Andrew's Book Group will read and discuss The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. Published in 1985, this dystopian novel is set in a near-future New England state, the Republic of Gilead, which has overthrown the US government. The narrator, Offred, is a "Handmaid," a woman who is forcibly assigned to produce children for the "Commanders," the ruling class in Gilead.
