The Great Vigil of Easter

Bring a bell to ring!
Weather permitting, our service will begin outside on the front lawn with the kindling of a new fire and lighting of the Paschal Candle. The Vigil is the first service of Easter and first celebration of the resurrection of Jesus in the church year.
A number of lessons will be read, we will baptize new members into Christ’s church and renew our own baptismal vows, the use of “Alleluia!” will return to the liturgy, and we will celebrate the first eucharist of Easter with the singing of favorite hymns and the joyous ringing of bells!
And then we will have a reception!
