St. Andrew’s Book Group

The St. Andrew’s Book Group has selected Jodi Picoult’s novel, Small Great Things as its book for January. Small Great Things is a New York Times #1 best seller that delves into issues of racism, choice, fear, and hope. It is based on a true story about a labor and delivery nurse who is prohibited from caring for a newborn because the father does not want African-American nurses to tend the baby. The Washington Post noted that “Small Great Things is the most important novel Jodi Picoult has ever written. It will challenge her readers…[and] expand our cultural conversation about race and prejudice.” All are invited to read the book and join the conversation on Tuesday, January 16, at 7 p.m. (Please note change from 4th Tuesday due to Celebration of a New Ministry for Fr.
