Out of the Cold
March 6, 2017 - March 19, 2017
St. Andrews will be sheltering and feeding our homeless guests from March 6 – March 19 We are expecting about 15 guests per night. Please sign up here for one of the following volunteer opportunities:
Serving breakfast 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.
Anything from cold cereal, juice and toast, to McMuffins or a breakfast casserole
Serving dinner 8 – 10 p.m.
Anything from soup and a sandwich to chili or a casserole
Being a host 8 – 10:30 p.m.
Checking guests in and showing them the facility
Overnight chaperone 8:30 p.m. – 7:15 a.m.
We need 2-3 males and 1 female each night.
After March 19, we will need people to wash the blankets we provide for the guests.
We are asking for donations of socks and undershirts – how nice would it feel to put on a new, dry pair of socks after spending all day out in the rain?
Training will be provided for all who participate in the program. Pick a date that is convenient for you:
Sunday, Feb. 12, 9:15 a.m. in Room 324
(quick retraining for those who have participated in years past)
Thursday, Feb. 23, 6 p.m. in Room 119
Saturday, Feb. 25, 11 a.m. in Room 119
