Hope is in the Air Bell Ringing

In response to a parishioners’ request, we will ring our church bell for one minute at noon on Easter to honor the coronavirus heroes – all those working so hard and at great personal risk for the rest of us, including health care workers, public health officials, first responders, and those working to keep people fed.
Like those who we’ve seen singing out their windows in Italy, we are asking individuals and families to ring bells at home – out the window or on their front porch. We have also invited other churches to join us and ask you to share our Facebook post and event as widely as possible to increase participation.
We ring out our joy on the holy day. We ring out love. We ring out hope. We ring out thankfulness. At this special time of year, we may be prevented from gathering together, but we are not prevented from celebrating as a community.
Spring is in the air. Let’s make sure that hope is in the air too.
