The Greatest Story Ever Told is an epic film chronicling the life of Jesus of Nazareth from the Nativity through the Ascension. It stars
Max von Sydow as Jesus and a “cast of thousands” including Charlton Heston (as John the Baptist this time,) Claude Rains, José Ferrar, Telly
Savalas, Roddy McDowell, Sidney Poitier, Pat Boone, Jamie Farr, Sal Mineo, John Wayne, Angela Lansbury, and Shelley Winters. The movie has a total running time of over four hours and is divided into two parts. We will only be watching Part 2, which begins with the entrance into Jerusalem and ends with the Crucifixion and Ascension.
We will gather at 8 p.m. in Canterbury Hall and the film will begin at 8:15. Admission is free, and all are
welcome.
