Transgender Saints: Early Christian Stories of Gender Variation and Transformation
The lives of the saints are filled with a surprising number of creative expressions of gender, particularly women who take on male or androgynous identities. We will look at some examples of this gender creativity in early Christian writing, and explore the implications they present for our faith today.
