A 40-Year Journey of LGBTQ Equality and the Episcopal Church
Please join Kevin Barron as he takes us through our 40-year journey as a community of faith in our quest for the full inclusion of members of the LGBTQ community in the life of the church.From the 1976 resolution of the 65th General Convention that recognized homosexuals as children of God to the 78th General Convention that permits the union of any couple as long as it conforms to civil and cannon law, much ground has been covered. We will ponder where all of this leaves us today and what ground still remains to be covered.
All adults are invited. Come a little early for coffee and something to eat, if you like.
