Community Cafe Chicken and Waffles Dinner

Brace yourself: On September 15, the Community Cafe is about to travel deep into the hinterlands of Pennsylvania for one of those “only in PA” culinary specialties. This time, it’s chicken and waffles-the kind you grew up eating with roasted chicken, yellow gravy, and a scoop of mashed potatoes. Since the 1860’s, this wonderful dish has been been served at countless Sunday dinners, community fairs and in church halls, so belly up to our table and make yourself at home. The free, all-you-can-eat meal is served from 5PM- 7PM and will also include salads, deserts and beverages. Donations are accepted but never expected.
