In the spirit of Halloween, the book group has chosen to read Shirley Jackson’s 1959 gothic horror classic, The Haunting of Hill House.
This National Book Award finalist delves into the twisted story of how four strangers are brought together at the notorious Hill House mansion to determine whether spirits really do exist. At first, their stay is riddled with spooky, inexplicable phenomena. As time progresses, it soon becomes apparent that Hill House is gathering its powers and soon it will choose one of its visitors to make its own.
