With holidays at the end of November and December, the Book Group has changed their schedule; we will skip October and meet at the beginning of November and December. returning to the end of the month for our meetings in January. The next meeting will be November 1 in Room 119.

The Book Group selection for November is The Best Short Stories 2022: The O. Henry Prize Winners.

This edition of the prestigious annual story anthology contains twenty prizewinning stories chosen by Guest Editor Valeria Luiselli from the thousands published in magazines over the past year. They include stories by a mix of celebrated names and emerging voices and translations from Bengali, Greek, Hebrew, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, and Spanish. The winning stories are accompanied by observations from the winning writers on what inspired them.
