For the month of April, The St. Andrew’s Book Club decided to read Roland Merullo’s Breakfast with Buddha. Otto Ringling, a New York City skeptic, sets out on a cross country adventure to North Dakota to settle his parents’ estate accompanied by a Buddhist monk who only answers questions in riddles. Stuck in a car together for almost 2000 miles, the unlikely duo experience a spiritual journey as well as they learn about each other’s cultures, backgrounds, and views on life.
