Adult Education Forum
April 7, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 9:45 am
We hope you will join the Adult Education Forum this spring as we learn about monks, missionaries, prophets, doctors, evangelists, and more. We will get to know ten inspirational yet imperfect men and women, who lived in different places and times, and with different gifts and backgrounds. Despite these differences, they all made manifest the love of God, and their lives challenge us to live our own discipleship more fully and fearlessly. As part of our journey with the saints, we will also explore the history of the church, and the representation of saints in art and iconography.
Celebrating the Saints is a curriculum appropriate for adults and youth, and families with older children are welcome. Childcare is available upon request.
Kevin Lowe will guide our studies of the saints. He earned a master’s in early Christian history from Drew University, and a doctorate in American religious history from Penn State in 2013.
