St. Andrew’s Book Group

The St. Andrew’s Book Group has selected One Hundred Names for Love by Diane Ackerman as its book for September. This 2011 memoir tells of Ackerman’s marriage to novelist Paul West, a long-time Penn State faculty member, who suffered a stroke that left him without language. Ackerman, herself a Penn State alumna and author of The Zookeeper’s Wife, recounts her husband’s recovery.
