St. Andrew’s Book Group

The St. Andrew’s Book Group has chosen for its April meeting The Worst Hard Time: The Untold Story of Those Who Survived the Great American Dust Bowl by Timothy Egan.
For this National Book Award winning history, author Egan interviewed survivors of the April 1935 dust storm, which the New Yorker described as “the biggest dust storm on record,” extending from the Dakotas to Amarillo, Texas. The story weaves together history of the land with the stories of people who had settled in the area and their struggle to survive this man-made natural disaster.
