The Book Group will meet Tuesday, June 18 to discuss The Double Life of Katharine Clark by Katharine Gregorio. In 1955, Katharine Clark became the first female American wire reporter behind the Iron Curtain, forging a career as a journalist in a male-dominated field. This dramatic historical narrative shares her forgotten story of befriending a leading Communist and risking her life to smuggle out books that exposed the truth about Communism to the World.
