Listed as one of the best films of all time, To Kill a Mockingbird was nominated for eight Academy Awards and won three. It was adapted from Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name.
The film portrays childhood innocence threatened against a backdrop of small-town secrets and a father at once intent on maintaining that innocence while he fights in a courtroom to save a man’s life in the Depression-Era south.
Snacks will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the film will begin at 7 p.m. A discussion will follow for those who wish to stay. The film is free, and all are welcome.
