The September selection for St. Andrew’s Book Group is The Last Days of John Lennon by James Patterson. Although Patterson is best known for his fictional suspense novels, this is an extensively researched non-fiction account. The narrative begins many years before John Lennon’s last days and intersperses chapters about John’s past and history with the Beatles with those set in December 1980 from the point of view of Chapman in the weeks leading up to the murder.
