From a field of 300 entries, our judges the Rt. Rev. Audrey Scanlan and the Rev. Dr. Vincent J. Kopp have selected the winning poems in this year’s contest on the theme of Sanctuary. The poetry committee is making the final selections for our contest anthology and we are contacting the poets. Book Club will meet Tuesday, October 28, to discuss Mimi Barash Coppersmith's autobiography Eat First, Cry Later. Mimi was a Penn State alumna and philanthropist, publishing and advertising entrepreneur, and the first woman to chair the Penn State Board of Trustees. She was the publisher of Town & Gown Magazine for nearly 50 years and was known for its featured column, “Lunch with Mimi.” Visitors and newcomers are always welcome.
