Some of us might undertake the Lenten discipline of reading sections of the Bible\nor even tackle the Old or New Testament. The truly ambitious might read the Bible from cover to cover. But did you know that the Bible is a collection of\nstories that were originally passed down in an oral tradition? The answer may be yes\, and it just as well might be no.\nJoin us on Monday in Holy Week\, for a corporate reading and experience the Gospel According to Matthew in the oral tradition. Challenge yourself to listen to the story from beginning to end.\nThe corporate gospel reading is a group activity so please sign up to be a reader. We will divide the gospel into segments and hope to get as many as 15 or 20 people to participate. We promise this experience will change how you hear the gospel.

DESCRIPTION:The Book Group will meet MONDAY\, April 27\, to discuss The Secret History\, by Donna Tartt. \nThe Secret History is the first novel by Donna Tartt. Published in 1992\, it tells the story of a closely knit group of six Classics students at a small\, elite liberal arts college in Vermont. \nThe Secret History is an inverted detective story narrated by one of the six students\, Richard Papen\, who reflects years later upon the situation that led to the murder of their friend Edmund “Bunny” Corcoran. The events leading up to the murder are revealed sequentially. It has been credited with originating the dark academia literary sub-genre. \nThe Book Group is open to all and newcomers and guests are always welcome.
